Form, Handhabung und Lagerung

The material is a freeze-dried powder (lyophilisate), white to off-white in color, filled in 10 mg units into a sealed glass vial with a butyl rubber septum and an aluminium shrink cap. Lyophilisates of this class are hygroscopic: absorbed moisture can cause the powder to clump together and affect the analytical baseline. The vials therefore remain closed until they are processed in the laboratory.

Store the unopened lyophilisate at 2–8 °C, in a dark and dry place, in the original packaging. Allow a refrigerated vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated temperature changes. Furthermore, the usual laboratory precautions apply: a clean work surface, gloves and eye protection, and recording of the batch number and opening date in the lab journal.
