Description
Description
Insulin syringes with integrated needle, designed for precise aspiration and administration of small volumes of peptide solutions in laboratory research. The fine needle (30G for the 0.5 ml, 29G for the 1 ml) and the small inner diameter of the cylinder enable precise dosing down to 0.01 ml.
In research protocols where concentrated peptide solutions are aspirated or administered in low volumes (e.g., animal models or cell culture applications), insulin syringes are the standard. The integrated needle minimizes dead volume and loss of active substance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 29G and thicker needles?
29G (0.33 mm) is a fine needle suitable for low-volume aspiration and administration with minimal tissue damage in research models. Thicker needles (21G, 23G) are better for reconstitution because they aspirate larger volumes more readily.
Why an integrated needle?
The integrated needle minimizes dead volume in the Luer connector, resulting in less peptide solution being lost between aspiration and administration. This is important for expensive or rare investigational substances.
Can I reuse the syringe?
No. Insulin syringes are for single use only. Reuse causes needle bluntness, cross-contamination, and compromise of the aseptic working environment.
How are insulin syringes stored?
Store in a dry place at room temperature in the original sterile packaging. Do not use after the expiry date or if the packaging is damaged.

Which syringe size matches which calculation
An insulin syringe has a U-100 scale. One hundred units equal one milliliter, so one unit is 0.01 ml. That is why these syringes are the standard in peptide research: measuring tenths of a milliliter is more accurate on a scale with one hundred markings than on a standard syringe.
The two versions
We supply 0.5 ml with 50 units and 1 ml with 100 units over the full length. With the same accuracy per mark, the length of the cylinder therefore determines the maximum volume per dispensing. Anyone working from a heavily diluted vial will reach the upper limit of the small version sooner.
How to choose the right size
First calculate the concentration: milligrams in the vial divided by milliliters of solvent. Then divide the desired quantity by that concentration; that is the volume per dose. If that volume exceeds the volume of your syringe, choose a longer syringe or dissolve the vial in less solvent. Our peptide calculator converts it and warns as soon as the result no longer fits the selected syringe.
| Execution | Full bowl | One unit | At 5 mg/ml, a maximum fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.5 ml | 50 units | 0.01 ml | 2.5 mg per sample |
| 1 ml | 100 units | 0.01 ml | 5 mg per sample |
What an insulin syringe is not intended for
For transferring the solvent to the vial, a wider bore is more convenient. For this purpose, the 3 ml drawing-up unit meant; it sucks up milliliters smoothly without drawing in air. Reading the scale is explained step-by-step in our explanation about reading and measuring with an insulin syringe.
This product is supplied for laboratory research and not for use in humans or animals. We do not provide dosage recommendations.
